that is a great pub that does exactly what he says on the dose, it is a real British pub that serves some great British ales. I personally believe they are some of the best to be in Lichfield, not only that, but they offer the largest camra discount in lichfield 10%. the obvious other drinks and lagiers are also available, often offered with special like 3 bud for £5 (or something). it is in the rule a jealous client... Popped in Sunday, just went to see if it had improved as have missed the place. Unfortunately it was worse than ever. Had one drink and left. Won’t be back. People shouting and singing at the tops of their voices and jigging around all over the place. The area in front of the toilets was completely blocked by people and no way of getting through. What a wonderful old style pub this is...Woman behind the bar was so friendly..as were the locals...Great place for a pre Sunday pint or two..
Fantastic 100% friendly pub, Amazing very attentive staff always. The juke box is kept at a reasonable level for all. Great beer, friendly banter daily 5* Public House very clean highly recommended :
A pub where everyone knows your name and you are well looked after from the time you walk past the window to the time you leave. The staff are polite and professional at all times and the people that visit make the days/evenings It’s moving with the times to keep the pub industry alive and attract new business
Limited choice of draught beer. Marston's Pedigree, I've tasted better, and Wainwright. At £2.75 a pint can't complain.
Around great public house friendly staff and customers would recommend this pub to anyone.
