There is nothing to do in Libourne so it appears in no guide books, but should you find yourself there for a few hours, do visit this creperie. They produce excellently cooked galettes served by pleasant staff. you can sit outside in an unremarkable but quaint terrace and use the cleanest toilets in the Bordeaux region.

There are a few tables on the pavement but we opted for one i... read more We happened upon this Crêperie on a one night stopover in Libourne and we are so glad that we did! There are a few tables on the pavement but we opted for one inside. This appeared to be a husband and wife set up, husband in the kitchen and charming wife front of house. My husband went for the seafood galette, the rest of us went for the diy version, choose 4 ingredients from a long list. All were delicious. The restaurant got busier but the lady remained un-flustered and moved around the tables at the appropriate moment - I don't quite know how she managed it! Our crêpe desserts were just as tasty. The clientele seemed to be all tourists, you didn't need to book, there were families and couples of all nationalities. The menu was original (even for a Crêperie) and the food extremely fresh. A thoroughly enjoyable meal!
