Ganello's Pizza Company - Libertyville

I visited the restaurant today, as I used to go with my coworkers weekly when we worked nearby. We always enjoyed dining there. Unfortunately, it was closed today. I am unsure when they will reopen. Hopefully it will be soon! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch

Ganellos is definitely our go-to spot for pizza in the area. The thin crust is always cooked just right, with a delicious sauce and plenty of cheese and toppings. We can't wait to come back soon! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times in the past. During my recent visit, I ordered two focaccia sandwiches, but unfortunately, they were doughy, cold, with very few toppings, and overall inedible. The staff seemed preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves, and my order took a while to be fulfilled despite no other orders being prepared. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant as the experience was quite unpleasant.

This pizza is amazing. There is no doubt that you should try it. I have always been a fan of New York-style pizza, but this place changed my mind. It is so good that you should skip the chains and try their sauce, which alone makes it worth getting a pie here.

I tried Ganellos pizza for the first time and decided to go with a deep dish pepperoni. This pizza is quite heavy, with a thick and cheesy crust. The sauce leans more towards the sweeter side. Overall, it was good but nothing extraordinary. I might consider going back in the future.
