Great place with a service aligned with the plates, the prices may be little higher than expected for the quality

Nice meal in the middle of nowhere (really nice terrace to have a dinner). Service was great, maybe a bit faster than I would like but I am sure that you can tell them to bring dishes a bit slower (they were really helpful always).

Patxiku Enea is the place to go for a great dinner or lunch , great location in the hills between San Sebastian and Hondarribia , a cozy traditional country house transformed in a restaurant with a modern touch. The quality of the food ingredients is really great, most of their menu is based on seasonal and local products , some traditional evergreens with a contemporary influence. The staff is professional and guides the customer in the choice of offered dishes. Both fish and meat specialities are offered, I usually come for the chuleton but also for the fantastic starters. This time I visited the place for lunch with a business partner and friend, we received a small glass of seasonal vegetable cream (very delicate but yet tasty , then we ordered some jamon (they always have selected high quality jamon ham , some incredible young fava beans with some creamy mashed potatoes and raw egg yolk, the fantastic Patxiku Enea foie (this is really not to be missed , and the legendary Patxiku Enea artichokes which are wrapped into crunchy jamon. After that we had our chuleton which was rare, tasty, juicy, and tender served together with potatoes and pimientos. We decided to drink organic sidra (apple cider from the Guipuzkoa province, but Patxiku Enea offerers a great selection of wines too. We were so full we decided to just have a coffee and an orujo blanco (helps the digestion ; and could not taste one of their famous desserts. While I'm writing these few lines I'm getting hungry ... My compliments go to the Manterola Family , specially to Aitor , and to all the Patxiku Enea Team , can't wait to be back!

Went there to taste its famous chuletón (Typical basque country red meat. like a t-bone). Must say that the place is very popular because of its red meat. Overall, must say im a bit disappointed. it was a good chuletón, but the meat wasnt so smooth as it should have been. dont get me wrong, the taste was great, its more to do with the texture. It was a bit hard. As starter we had green beans with egg and ham. wonderful. and as desert its famous riz au lait (rice with milk).
