We were for a family lunch in the direction of Fishta, and since we couldn't find a place where we wanted, we chose the alternative options. Google suggested this restaurant, but Google Maps doesn't take you to the right place (it takes you to the church, which is 300m away). Meanwhile, nowhere is it said that the road from the church is unpaved and in a mountainous terrain that small cars may have problems. The restaurant was modest, but pleasant. The view was fantastic and I believe who likes hiking it was a good place. The food was not at the expected level, compared to other restaurants in Fishte. I do not recommend the middle course because it was expensive per person (compared to the country) and it was absurd that in a country where the expectation is to eat traditional food, they bring Italian ham. It doesn't make sense. Relatively expensive prices. 2 people cost us about 60 EUR (very expensive compared to the restaurants near Tirana where the same food and the same quantity does not cost more than 40-45 EUR. It was not worth it until the top of the mountain. We did not try the hotel, so I cannot give comment about the rooms. Make sure you have a confident driver. Steep uphill clime and rocky somewhat routh terain. However its not particularly dangerous considering some roads in albania you just need ro be a compitent confident driver.... and if not the food hear is worth duying for anyway haha. .....seriously its definitely worth the visit and I garentee it will become one of your favourite spots. The restaurant is family run and they are genuinly loverly people. Try a pudding called treeleche its what I would describe as the albania version of sticky toffee pudding but with milk .....sounds strange to us english but it is very nice ...as a fat sweet toothed person I highly recommend it. The meat hear is also raied humanly and left to pasture of huge Open fields one thing I loved when being shown around is the pride they take in caring for ALL spects of there restaurant....the respect the lively hoods of the animals all the way to the way they are prepared and served. Safety: Confident competent driver needed. Generally a safe road but it is very steep, not paved, and caution is needed so not to take a one time only flying lesson. With confidence and a good working car any car can make this trip. Food drinks: Lots of meats, and variety Noteworthy details: Amazing views day and night. Perfect romantic spot for sunsets.
We stayed in a nice very spacious room which was overlooking the valley below from a gorgeous balcony. The host was very warm and welcoming. The food was also amazing and we had the lamb which is some of the best I've had in my life. All in all an amazing stay. Note: Take the gravel path on the left of the church and drive for about 5 minutes Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
