My family had a 3 night family reunion here in July 2023. The pool, fire pit, playground and lodge restaurant are all next to each other and close to the lodge rooms. You can rent a kayak on the lake and hike all without moving your car. The lodge is old, but for the price and amenities it's a really great deal. We loved it! I will be back again. Our food was terrible, and at $20/person it was a rip-off. Never eating there again!!The lighting in the dining area is awful.
The buffet was ok. The restaurant was extra cold. The service was good. Lots if parking.

It was all just really, really bad.Husband ordered a hamburger steak. Overly salted, it came with the same sugary mayo saw I had and a bowl of steamed broccoli with absolutely no seasoning.Big State and National Park fans, we know state park food. It won't be great but it usually won't be horrible either. Tonight, it was utterly horrible.
Great Buffet. Nothing was over cooked and everything tasted fresh. Popcorn shrimp and stuffed crab are obviously frozen but the frog legs and the catfish tasted just out of the water. Very busy and rather loud, weight staff shorthanded as usual these days but our server though busy did check on us and bring drink refills.
