Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the bartender's rude deme... read more I visited this bar for the first time on July 28, 2022, hoping to enjoy more than one beer. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the bartender's rude demeanor. When I presented my state ID, she remarked, “That doesn’t look like you.” After providing my FOID and EMT IDs, she scrutinized them under a light for what felt like an eternity before finally allowing me to order a drink. Despite eventually getting my beer, the bartender continued to act unfriendly, making me feel unwelcome. I quickly finished my drink and left because it was clear she didn't want me there. If I owned this bar, I'd consider hiring different bartenders to attract more customers. After this experience, I have no desire to return anytime soon. If the bartender from that night happens to read this, I suggest she work on being more approachable and hospitable. Alternatively, it might be worth opening a DMV nearby so she can get my ID photo to her liking—after all, it would be nice to order a drink without feeling judged!
