I am from as far south as you can go in Louisiana, Montegut LA. The food here is as good as it gets. I was in Lexington on business and we had lunch here, and was totally amazed! Just Ok? The price point suggests that this isn’t gonna be anything special and that’s exactly how it shaped up. The staff is nice! The menu board looks inviting but the execution lacks. Their vegan options begin to expand! I tried her tofu creole last week. the tofu was perfectly boiled and the cream sauce was incredible. I also had the vegan black beans and bbq jackfruit sandwich and also not disappointed. I am so excited to have a place in the chevy chase area with multiple vegan options
So to begin, this place is a hole in the wall. but in this case it's not bad. cajun eating is often found at the dirtyest places.

Been coming to Lexington the past month every few weeks or so for check ups at UK. Finally got to eat somewhere that wasn’t the hospital and it was absolutely fantastic! White chicken chili was delicious with a bit of heat, and the Shrimp Etoufee was to die for. Will be back!
