The company name looks bad on a banking statement, it made me laugh the most I had done in the last few years (banks always asking for suspect transactions etc . Trust me, you 'll never find a more honest place to eat (outstanding! , fast, hot. great service. What PDP doesn't like about Something Fishy:
The customers in the restaurant were more focused on arguing and being rude to each other rather than enjoying their meals or placing orders. As I waited for my fish and chips, I overheard a few racist comments about other customers. The restaurant appeared to be a rough place, but the high price of £9 for a small portion of fish and chips indicated otherwise. To be honest, the portion size was decent. However, the q... I've only ever had the pie and mash here but it's excellent. Pie, mash, liquer and a mug of tea is £5.50. Eels also available. It's a full range fish and chip shop as well.
Spent a day having tests at Lewisham hospital and popped into the centre for lunch Cod and chips, lemon and sachet of tartare sauce on a plate eating in only £5.90 plenty of condiments everywhere Absolutely delicious hot food Staff very polite and friendly, tables...and floor cleaned as soon as the tables are freed up, all totally organised and worth a trip.
National Fish Chips Day so we thought we'd give it a try. Busy place with a constant stream of customers but we managed to get a table. Order at the counter before sitting down. Regular cod chips £8.50 and it was ginormous. Neither...of us could finish it and said that next time we'd go for the small £5.50). Service was quick. Restaurant clean though a lot of it seems to be held together with duct electrical tape!
Always very busy here, and always good quality fish and chips. A proper old fashioned fish and chip shop (although inside it is spotlessly clean and modernised with gleaming white tiles everywhere) I nip in on a Saturday afternon when I get the chance, always...a very good standard and they have the pickled egs and pickled onions to top off your meal. It's very busy most of the time, as a lot of the market traders eat here as well as the locals, but it's big enough to ensure you will usually find a table. A good spot, a reminder of how South East London used to be!
Spoilt myself with pie and chips. Excellent service and plenty of food to choose from with a great selection of drinks. Lots of space for families, couples to sit and enjoy your food. Smokers can sit outside and eat.
