I wouldn’t recommend coming for just a drink here, all the tables have reserved signs on them and when we asked if we could sit at any of the tables for a while the bar staff recommended we sit outside, would have been nice of them to tell us that before we bought our drinks, at least it’s 8 degrees outside.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times because my mother enjoys the food. I have tried several items from the menu and have always had a delicious meal. The service is consistently good and the staff are friendly. They have a special board with changing menu options that are also tasty. The desserts are delicious and the prices are reasonable.
I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful 16th century pub with a warm welcome, delicious food, and excellent service. The BLT I tried was the best I've ever had. If you find yourself in the area, definitely give it a try.
Consistently great. Happy to make the 40 min journey from us to have a great meal. Favourites are chicken liver later, burger and the Sunday roast. Highly recommend.
Really quaint and cosy pub the food was delectable, it really shows how much soul and effort goes into it, so please give my compliments to the chef! Thank you for a lovely lunch
