What cavassssin doesn't like about Newhaven Fish:
Last week I was in Newhaven and I was looking for a good fish and chips meal. Once entered in this take away restaurant, I ordered fried cod and fried chips: the worst meal after a while. For sure, the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my whole life. Staff is unfriendly and not qualified, hygiene level is super low (even if it has a 5/5 hygiene standard rate, I wonder how!!! If they are local, they will not search further, that is the place for them. the fish chips are not one. just like the personal and the service. Don't take my word for it, give them an attempt.?
Great chippy, one of the few places south where you can get broken haggis. originally thought the price of £4 was expensive, but it was enormous. also with chips it took 20 minutes, understandable, as it was a special order. although the dinge were for most longer than usual, due to the protocols for covid. they took a very "safe first" approach, and although it was a bit of a faff that had to wait outside, it was probably for the best.
Well worth the ride from crawley. beautiful freshly cooked fish chips parked at sea in newhaven.
Amazing chips and veggie burger! Lovely lovely staff and people : very kind generous, thank you for feeding me on my London-Paris bike ride.
