La Ferme a Frederique - Lévis

I am a big fan of pies (especially strawberry), and I must say that their pies are simply divine. I don't think it's possible to only eat one per year (I had 16 pies in 2015 and 9 so far this year). The season is coming to an end, so don't miss the chance to treat yourself.

My 5-year-old daughter, my wife, and my mother-in-law were among those who attended this rustic lunch at Ferme Frédérique de St Nicolas near Quebec. A simple menu, ingredients of exemplary freshness, and a warm welcome were what we were treated to on this beautiful Sunday in July 2013. A charming place without pretension and a relaxed atmosphere envelops you as soon as you arrive. The employees, who are more like family friends lending a hand, are young and smiling. As they are not a permanent and well-oiled team, you will need to show some indulgence, but their dedication easily makes up for the slight perceptible shortcomings compared to regulars of Cora and other restaurants. Richard, the owner, and his charming partner Jessica keep a close eye on things! A cozy terrace overlooks the strawberry fields. Now, onto the food: succulent crepes stuffed with fresh berries and topped with English cream and maple syrup, ham omelette with "Petit renard" cheese, and smoothies made with incredibly fresh strawberries. Coffee and taxes are included in the prices. As for extras: a large inflatable game for children outside, some small farm animals for the little ones (pony, pig, and small rabbit), indoor stands offering fresh farm products, an artist on-site offering face painting for children and carriage rides on the day we visited (during the Strawberry Festival), and pick-your-own strawberries within walking distance. In conclusion, we had a wonderful time at this place, which deserves to be known and supported to promote local creation and the economy. Bravo to the team at Ferme Frédérique de St Nicolas.

Premièrement, j'aimerais parler des points positifs... C'est un endroit est très sympathique, chaleureux et familiale. Il y a une petite ferme avec lapins et chèvres. Il y a un parc pour les enfants. Nous avons reçu un très bon accueil. Le cocktail santé aux fraises est vraiment délicieux.Le problème c'est que une heure après avoir pris notre commande, nous n'avions toujours pas été servi. On nous a expliqué que s'était un service champêtre et que c'était normal. J'ai argumenté très poliment (j'étais avec mes trois enfants...) et on m'a pris mon assiette et demandé de sortir... Je ne peux donc pas commenter la nourriture puisse que j'ai pris les enfants et nous sommes partie. Je n'ai jamais été traitée de façon aussi irrespectueuse dans un restaurants. Dommage pour les employés et clients de ce charmant resto-déjeuner d'avoir un propriétaires avec d'aussi mauvaises manières.

The chicken at this restaurant was extremely salty and gave me a headache. Our box meal only came with 12 fries and we were given just 2 small sauce packs for an order of over.
