Despite being very busy (understandably), the service was rapid, very friendly and even in English if I needed it. Food was good portions at good prices, no rip off here despite waterfront position. The seafood was fresh and the pizzas well covered and huge. Thoroughly recommend.

I’m not sure we should be telling you about this as there is always a queue for a table in the evenings and having to smell the wonderful aromas whilst waiting can be hell! These are great pizzas – thin crust loads of toppings, piping hot and extremely moreish. The other dishes on the menu (pastas, salads etc) are just as good but, for me, this is the place to go for pizza.

Port Leucate is a large holiday complex in south west France. People go their especially to windsurf, sail and to enjoy everything that seaside living has the offer. The 'village ' sits on strip of land between the Mediterranean and a lagoon famous for its shell-fish. It lies close to where the Pyrennees run down to Mediterranean and so the air is fresh and invigorating and the multi-coloured sky is vast. Port Leucate is perfect for day-trips and longer stays for those who like the beauty of the coastal wilderness. Le Cesario sits on the quayside of a port that is crammed with cruisers and yachts of all types. On breezy days the wind whistles through the mast stays of the bobbing boats and Le Cesario provides a welcome respite from the stress. The restaurant is simple and spacious, decorated with a thirties America theme. Photos of Elliot Ness, Al Capone and others line the walls but this is not an intensely Italian restaurant. The menu is varied and choices are easy to make. All the dishes, including the wines, are made from local products and their freshness is welcome and obvious. The service is excellent, warm and very helpful and the overall ambiance is very enjoyable. My wife and I spent a wonderful relaxing hour at Le Cesario and we wholeheartedly recommend it.

We have been here many times and are treated like family. Excellent choices and great location. Cesario is nearly always full which says it all.

Happened on Le Cesario just strolling along the quai in Port Leucate reading menus at lunchtime and thought the blackboard prix fixe of mixed fish looked interesting. So we had that and a veal escalope in a white sauce with tagliatelle. Both were excellent but there was waaaay too much food! But that adds to the value, of course. Waiter Jonathan was super and when complimented on his English told us he had spent time in New York and Miami and was altogether very personable with being in any way pushy. His service added immensely to the really very good lunch. Seeing other reviews about excellent pizza, I'm just heading downstairs from our apartment to get one to go!
