Reasonably priced food with good selection of different cuisines. The names of dishes sound familiar but the cooking style is not. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes. Still tasted OK. Desserts are good. Seating is out in the open but separated from main road by a small garden. There is an inner seating area but all areas are without air-conditioning. Evenings are cool enough though. View all feedback.
What Sven F doesn't like about Shwe Ou Food Garden:
Two stars for the friendliness, other than that, the noodle soup was too sweet, the pancake industrial (from the package), heated up a bit but cold already when it arrived, the banana slices on top of it already half rotten, the cappuccino 3in1, also too sweet and the regular coffee was probably the cheapest local brand as it had a funky taste. Cups and plates were dirty, as was the table, which we had to wipe oursel... View all feedback.
Walked into this restaurant for lunch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Shop was relatively clean. Prices were decent and slightly cheaper than some other restaurants in the area. Food was good except for the sweet and sour pork I had. I'm not sure why it was super gamey, I really couldn't stomach it and decided to not eat it. The rest of the meal was pleasant. We had their home made ice cream. We tried 5 flavours. Vanilla, chocolate, rum n raisins, manggo and coconut. Personally in order of preference coconut, vanilla mango, rum and lastly chocolate.
Warm attentive staff. Good quality of food at a very reasonable price. We like curry prawn, coconut rice, Myanmar salad-they're yummy. Home made ice cream is also good.

Cups and plates were dirty, as was the table, which we had to wipe ourselves. Nothing unusual tho, as this is the kind of service which is offered by most restaurants in Bagan. In other places I would say a scam, but here I think people don't know better.
The owner is very kind and funny: he explains a lot of things about what is going on around the city. Food is delicious and they also have ice cream and coffee.
