Mr Mikes Steakhouse Casual - Lethbridge

We had breakfast here during our stay at Holiday Inn. It was good but nothing special bit the staff were so nice in accommodating our inquiry about places in Lethbridge. We came at night for a drink just before closing and had a great time . . .

Service very slow. Waited quite awhile for our food. Waitress didn't return to table after serving the food. Coffee was cold. I ordered mushroom burger with thin sliced potatoes. Potatos way too salty I couldn't eat them. Waitress didn't return to table so couldn't get a new order. Had to ask for our check as waitress was on the phone. When I told her my chips were way to salty she asked if I wanted to take them home because I hadn't eaten them. I asked her why would I take them I cat eat them. She said sorry and walked away. Very dissapointed as some of the meals were good.

Arrived at 930 pm, late, but the restaurant was still open , my wife and I ordered 2 Bacon mushroom Mike burgers with fries, very simple order. When the food arrived, my wife's toppings of bacon and mushrooms were both ice cold and you could tell by the dark color of the mushrooms that they had been precooked and then rewarmed only they missed the rewarming part. I guess the chef presumed they would be warmed by the heat of the burger. My food was warm but definatly not hot. The waitress assured us that the food had not sat under the lights too long but ordered replacement mushrooms and bacon. The only problem was that they arrived after we had finished our food. My wife left over half her meal because of being served cold food. My burger was mediocre at best with very little flavor. It appeared the food was prepared with little care at the end of a shift. We have eaten here in the past and the food was always very good, but not this time. There was also no reduced price due to bad food, we paid full price. We will have to seriously think as to if we will return again.

Went to Mikes for dinner on Saturday night - when the food finally arrived it was cold and our table sent their meals back to the kitchen and we left. The manager apologized saying they catered for an event which is why they couldn't serve us. My frustration is why did they take a table of 70 if their kitchen couldn't handle it and why serve cold food? Do you think people will just sit there and eat a ice cold steak (cooked well when ordered rare) and still give you $30. Not great - will never be back.

We had 4 meals here, 2 dinner and 2 breakfast since it was attached to our hotel. The food was good and service fast. The last mornings breakfast however the server would not allow my daughter to order from the children's menu with our vouchers. The reason for only 4 stars. The previous day we had no problems. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me considering the same items were available on the kids menu and it's clearly a waste of food to make a child order an adult sized portion that they will never eat.
