All was very good, w... read more This restaurant was the only one open on a Sunday in this area. We were lucky: we ordered seafood pasta and the black angus 300-gram steak. All was very good, with a special mention for the steak which was one of the best ever eaten. Prices are OK, slightly upmarket for Italy but proportional to the quality of the food. Only note: waiters kept neglecting us though we were in plain sight. We had to alert the owner that we were ready to take orders after waiting for a good while. And the restaurant was not full at all.

Unfortunately, I had not activated the gift, so we had to order from the menu after the risotto. The risotto was very good and then the fish dish we chose was good as well. The staff worked very hard to resolve the SmartBox problem for us, and they were very corteous

There are h... read more You get an idea you are in for a treat when you see the standard 3 choice pepper-mills on the table, each with an explanation of its origin and use. There are half a dozen types of salt to be had on request. This is an obligatory stop for us when we pass by and the mixed seafood pizza has to be tried to be believed. The extensive meat selection comes with explanations of the beef of origin and details of the variety of recommended ways of having each different cut prepared to order. Cooked to perfection just as ordered on each of our past 8 visits. Children are welcome and entertained at their own table by one or two dedicated nannies who play games and help them eat, leaving the adults and other patrons free to enjoy their meal. Well worth the one hour drive from Milan or Como, or a detour on the way to or from the Alps.
