We've been going to this family-run restaurant for many years. It has a cozy atmosphere, especially in winter, with its huge log fire. It is always busy, especially with locals who are a good sign in an area full of restaurants. While the food is not Michelin Standard it is always good, especially the fish the souris d'agneau. What Selvaggia Pagano doesn't like about L'Escale:
One of the many restaurants on the harbour side in Les Sables. The menus looked good and the place was busy so we decided to try it for dinner. As some of the menus and dishes were quite pricey I was expecting good quality food. However I felt it was just OK. I had fish, which for me was overcooked. My husband had steak and he did not rate it much (not great quality meat and very greasy sauce). Good desserts though. View all feedback.
We had a nice lunch here. Service super friendly and food good. The main course Hake was beautifully cooked. Would definitely return.
Excellent food with a very varied choice The staff was helpful and pleasant The manager found time to chat with us on a very busy and took the time to explain which ingredients were used to make the salmon ju

Food here was very tasty, much of the food is cooked over a large open fire which we sat next to so very interesting watching chef cooking. Steak was well cooked as were scallops, there are other dishes as well eg mussels. Everything was tasty but the service was a little haphazard. When we first arrived the restaurant was more or less full so understandable but even when it eased off we still had to wait for dessert. But still an enjoyable - if pricey meal.
Went here with my family with 3 children.Nice menu nice price, open fire where you can see your food being cooked.Everything went well till after starters, we had ro wait for an hour for our mains! The children dis not tak that very well!!!Food was good though.
