On a visit to Les Sables, we were all feeling hungry and it was nearly lunch time. The restaurant had bright coloured seating outside and was bathed in sunshine, right by the port side. The menu is extensive and very rerasonably priced too. I chose the spaghetti carbonara and I can honestly say, that in 20 years of coming to France, it was THE most delicious carbonara I have ever eaten. The hake (merlu) was served in... What Pamela K doesn't like about El Castello:
The restaurant was busy, both on the terrace and inside. The menu isn 't as comprehensive as the previous management only one fixed price menu now but the prices were about the same. There was no beer pression . . We had got to know the previous owners quite well and missed seeing them, although the new staff were friendly and pleasant and the meal was good. View all feedback.
Midi menu (entrance/plat/dessert) to 19.90 euros nicely presented. friendly and efficient waitress. glass of wine at the correct price.
We have rather eaten well overall, efficient service, in time without too much waiting. with a magnificent view, thanks to the team

What a great find for a lunchtime culinary experience. I would recommend the menu of the day especially the fish. We had Merlu in a white buttersauce The others also had extremely good tasting meals and desserts Value for money was there together with attentive service But also there was a great view of the harbour entrance with all the toing and froing of a great number of boats

The hake (merlu) was served in buerre butter with a light citron tang to it. Our friends choices were equally as good, served piping hot and promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to use our limited french, and we got there! Great food, great view, great value!
