This might be the only vegetarian restaurant in Leon and it is a good option to enjoy a great tasting menu. The environment is nice, quiet and with friendly staff. The dishes are very good, just as their website suggests, vegetarian food can be gourmet too. However, I was unsatisfied by the little amount of food on the main plate. Pricewise the menu is 12,50 including two dishes, a dessert, bread and a drink. Single plates are rather expensive.

I start this review with saying my exerpeince here was pre pandemic, i jsutforgot to write a review back then. so hopefully things have changed , or maybe they were just having a bad day as most of the reviews on here are good. Maybe it was because we arrived without a reservation, we did call ahead but only 5 mins as we found ourselves close by, but the waiter appeared pissed off that we were there even though the place wasn't that busy, midweek at lunchtime. I am awkward to feed, i know that I cant do wheat as well as a few other things, and finding something that is not only vegan but wheat free is always challenge, I just wrongly often still fall into the trap of assuming it will be easier in a dedicated veggie vegan place. It often isn't! it wasn't here, my options were limited to 1 0r 2 things from the whole menu and not a single desert. I am a vegan cook and i make plenty of deserts which i can eat so this does always disappoint me when i find this as not only is it sad for me , but i know I'm not the only one, and all the food places are missing out on a gap in the market that hardly any one is filling. the waiter didn't help to make me feel welcome or suggest any alternative for me I had a lasgne type dish in the end which was ok but the bechamel was made with almonds which i have never had before, and it gave it a slightly odd taste and grainy texture. It seemed a strange choice when using cashews it is much easier to create the creamy cheesy texture you want in such a dish. I have been meaning to go back and give it another go, but since then another vegan place opened and while the food there is much more basic, pizza burger type experience, the staff are so friendly and my dog is welcome, so I've just gone there in stead, or to many of the normal restaurants where i can always get chips and salad and a smile.

The restaurant is about a ten to fifteen minute walk away from the historical centre. The street is shown but not named on the free map handed out by the tourist office. It is the short street which runs between Avenida de la Facultad de Veterinaria (which runs along the river) and Calle Antonio Valbuena. Opening hours:  Lunch: Monday to Saturday: 13.30 – 16.00  Dinner: Friday and Saturday: 20.30 – 23.00  Sunday closed all day The restaurant is an unprepossessing long room in traditional décor. Staff were pleasant. Lunchtimes there is a set menu: €13 for three courses, bread and a drink. For each course a choice of about eight dishes. Everything is at least vegetarian, some vegan. Menu in Spanish. Mostly a little dull (risotto, lasagne, seitan &c). I had lentil stew, stacked vegetables under goats cheese, a non chocolate chocolate tart. Tasted alright. So, a safe place to eat if you are vegetarian – and I saw few restaurants in Leon that explicitly and obviously catered for vegetarians (Foodie on Plaza Mayor had a veggie burger) but nothing special.

I am currently walking the Camino de Santiago which is VERY limited on vegetarian (especially vegan! options. So, I was thrilled to find this gem in Leon. I went for lunch which was only 13 euro for 2 courses, dessert, and water/beer/or wine. Very good value for the price. Everything is homemade and very delicious. It is about a 10-15 min walk from the Cathedral but I 100% recommend checking it out!

Obligatory to go with reservation. is especially amazing your potato stew with shitakes. Very nice workers!

Although billed as a vegetarian restaurant, there were plenty of vegan options on the three course 15 euro menu, which included wine (with a menu in English, which was helpful). Some of the food had a tendency towards blandness, but the lentil stew/soup for first course was delicious, the portions were good, and overall it was a nice experience. We booked in advance (on a Tuesday) but had the place to ourselves until about 2pm and there are plenty of tables. It took us no more than 15 minutes to walk there from the tourist office by the cathedral.
