The rice was so awful, it was inedible....it had absolutely no squid ink flavor. The maitre D argued with me rather than offer to correct. Such a shame, the view is great.
Located on the second floor overlooking a beautiful square, Casa Marias offers a spectacular array of regional cuisine. I had the mole and it was superb. The service was mediocre, but the views were wonderful. Also, they serve a number of local artisan beers that I enjoyed very much. Highly recommended.
Since we were staying at the Ramada Plaza hotel, my wife and I decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. To be fair, my wife 's fajitas were good. The red wine she ordered, however, had obviously turned. When we sent it back, the captain came over and voiced his surprise, explaining that the bottle had been opened only five days before. I ordered a steak, emphasizing--in Spanish--that I wanted it medium. What I received was a mass that could not even qualify as medium-rare. Having had an overly long discussion about the wine, I decided to eat around the edges and to leave the rest, having lost what appetite I had.
If you are looking for a good restaurant with great mexican food, downtown this is the place! it has a great view of the main square and the food is really good my favourites are the Tlayudas to share the breaded fish and the enchiladas! they also offer a range of local beers and fresh fruit waters!
The location is really good, you have an overview of the central plaza, besides the Cathedral. Good service, excellent food (try the mole). You can be seated in the terraza or inside the restaurant. On weekends they have live music. Comfortable place.
