This restaurant, at the top of a windy mountain road above the village of Lentiai is locally famous for it's grill and menu including venison and polenta. We arrived for lunch a little later than the local crowd but were able to observe the day's specialty of grilled pork cutlet and polenta. There was no printed menu and we were given a choice between the several chef's specialties. We had taglietelle with venison ragu followed by the pork cutlet, grilled polenta and a huge house salad. The abundant portions were challenging but we didn't leave a morsel. We ordered the house white wine and water and it was served in jugs and water glasses in the traditionally unassuming way. We felt very welcome and the limited menu choices were indicative of the care taken to use only the freshest available ingredients. The pork was impeccably grilled and seasoned. The restaurant is famous for a huge pasture full of narcisus in the spring. I was sorry I didn't see this spectacle but i was told May is the time.
This is a very lovely family run restaurant in the hills (steep drive) with traditional home made dishes. No menu, but a variety of antipasti, pasta, and meats. Very good value for money Worth the drive
