Was Liz Gray at Brava a mag?
If you decide to visit a restaurant without reservations on a Saturday during peak foliage season, be prepared to wait. We waited for approximately an hour for our table. However, the wait was well worth it! The lamb chops with mint sauce were delightful, as were the Brussels sprouts and the Italian sausage pizza. we tried to have a late night after tanglewood and I was not impressed. it is considered romantic, but it was one of the most loud restaurants I've ever been. the service was awfully slow (saw only 20 minutes to get 2 beers) plus the prices were too high for what the food was-very running the mills tapas, e.g. meatballs, beet salad, etc.-not inventive. It's always busy. They have limited hours so arrive early. Outdoor dining is pet friendly! The food really is exceptional. It's simple fare. Small plates and pizza. Extensive wine selection is solid and well priced. The staff was notably attentive and courteous. Be aware that they do not want you to linger. We were trying to decide on ordering more food and another glass of wine and within 4 minutes 3 people came to offer either dessert or check. It was clear they wanted the table. Understandable as we had been there almost an hour. The place is very busy on weekends. I will try a week night next time. I needed another 20 minutes to try one more dish and an Italian wine.
