Our first time is trying Firehouse Subs and it was great. Much better than every day underground! Friendly staff with inviting smiles. We drove about 200 miles to celebrate our 12th anniversary. It was worth every mile. Had a young man named Dean, whom I will never forget and hope he won't forget me either. Such a glow over Dean. Sometimes God puts us in places for a reason. What Mindy T doesn't like about Firehouse Subs:
Traveling for work so I stopped for a quick dinner and the first red flag was a dog with a leash attached running loose in the store, looked as one of the workers boyfriend kid and dog sitting in the store. I still against all instincts order food with a worker with hair down stringy from the hat. I pay, get my cup and go to the drink stand to no ice and bugs running thru the drink machine. I eat at this place all the time always get excellent service and excellent food but for some reason today it's about one o'clock and I don't know the girls here just seem to make me a so so sandwich. They're not the usual ones I have seen here though maybe they are new.1pm fri
Went there once and got a brisket sub to go. It was a fat sandwich threw it away. Have never been back. Seems like a lot of the chain restaurants are good till they come to Lenoir.
Food is great, Wait can still be a little long, but has much been improved. Still order ahead to avoid any wait.
Normally this place is great. But this visit was… different. They weren’t busy so I don’t understand how they didn’t think to wipe the knife from a previous sandwich, before cutting mine. My sandwich did not have tomato sauce. I know it’s not that big a deal but it makes you wonder what else they can’t be bothered to wipe off or what other processes get ignored. Think I’m going to hold off on visiting this location for a bit. Give them a chance to get better trained.
Very slow service. I Waited wayyy too long for 3 subs and the guy at the counter not knowing how to work a cash register didn't help.
