Grand Street Lenexa

The filet special was perfect medium rare and delicious. My wife had the pork chop. Amazing! The pimiento cheese chips were excellent and the grand bar dessert was incredible. Crisp chocolate crust around a peanut butter mousse. Delightful! The old fashioned was smooth and strong and don't sleep on the house Cabernet Sauvignon. It paired well with the filet.

We were there to celebrate Mother's Day and there seem to be a big party going on at the same time. They were out of three of the main menu items already at 7:30. We then ordered wine, and was told “sorry that was not available any longer, but it hasn't been taken off the menu yet. We had ordered an appetizer when we first arrived and after 30 minutes still had not received it. The waitress came back to us said she forgot what we ordered and had not put it into the chef yet. Lastly, I had ordered dressing on the side for my salad and it came saturated and dressings. It took an hour for us to get our dinner, and although it was tasty, we were just ready to go home at this point.

One of our dinners came out cold, so I had to sit there and eat mine so it wouldnt get cold, while she waited for hers. very uncomfortable, and there was not offer of comping the cold dish or appetizer.

Great service, appetizer was extremely salty and pimento cheese was thin and runny. Meal was good. The one thing about this place is the booths they have. They are uncomfortable, too soft and feel li I am going back to the 70s... Tables would be so much better. Put into a booth and then asked for a table, moved a half booth with table and 2 chairs when 3 tables were readily available.

Great food but went today. Realized CLOSED on Sunday. ?
