Rick's Cafe - Leland
Rick's Cafe
Description
Nestled in a picturesque location, this restaurant presents a mix of experiences, primarily shaped by its atmosphere and service. While the stunning views and friendly staff received high praise, the food sparked considerable disappointment among patrons. Many claimed the menu offered subpar dishes at inflated prices, likening it to "gas station quality." Standout items like the famous clam chowder and the unique Chubby Mary garnered some positive feedback, yet overall, the culinary fare did not meet expectations. This establishment may be best for those seeking a casual setting with drinks, rather than a memorable meal.

Such a great cafe! It 's the smaller and more layed back version of The Cove, but it 's still as great! The folks working there were awesome, the food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere! As for the bad review I saw posted... I disagree with everything said. It 's not a michelin star restaurant, and that 's why it 's great! And to compare the food to fast food or gas station food was a disgrace and quite rude. If you want fancier food go upstairs to The Cove. I loved this place because it just had a more layed back vibe and all around it 's just a great cafe! That being said it 's definitely work a try and you might even get a visit from the local ducklings Y 'all keep up the great work!
Clam chowder. Ceasar salad. Burger. Two cocktails. $64. This was an absolute trash of fast food restaurant. The Moscow mule I ordered was disgusting. The lemonade cocktail was horrendous. The ceasar salad was mediocre at best. Burger also had gas station quality to it. The only enjoyable part was the clam chowder that states on their menu it's THE COVES famous clam chowder. I'd never eat here again. Regret not stopping at the gas station for food.
On the water (river) in Fishtown. Very limited menu, sit in shade or sun riverside next to the Leland dam, and part of historic Fishtown. For more extensive menu, go upstairs to the Cove. Grilled chicken sandwich is great here. Ask for added grilled onions, and home-made habanero hot sauce...delicious! Smoked Whitefish patè and fish chowder are great. Burgers, cherry chicken salad wrap, and a few others. Alcohol served. For fries you have to go upstairs...chips only at Rick's. 5 stars because it is a must go to venue on a pretty summer day.
Cheeseburgers in Paradise! — enjoyed with Eric Deising and Therese Hoyle at Rick's Cafe.
