It would be better when they can't do any food because of a private function that they put a sign up at the gate as you turn into their drive way. Otherwise we park up and go in looking forward to their food and a nice drink then get told sorry do you have a booking and if you don't we can't service you come back another day. Love this cafe. We traveled up and down the country many times and are always on the lookout for a good place to stop and eat. It is on SH1 on the way to Christchurch, so you will not miss it. We finally went there and weren't disappointed. They have a big courtyard where you can sit outside or indoors. The foods are really good. Especially the crispy chips that come with the burger. They prices are on the high side but you wouldn't mind for the quality you received. We can't wait to go back there again.
