I think the quality has declined recently but it's by no means bad, the chilli fries themselves are worth your visit, they're out of this world. The burgers aren't bad at all, but there are places with more interesting options.
We have partaken twice of Guinness by the pint and great burgers at Mulligan’s. We have had different burgers from the menu each time and it was consistently good on both occasions. Haven’t tried them, but I saw that a vegan burger was also available. And don’t pass on the lime meringue pie...to-die-for!! A singer/guitarist was playing on a Saturday evening when we last visited, and he was very good, made the night even better. Thoroughly recommend this one.
This is a nice addition to the nightlife scene in Leiria since I last visited the area. Irish pubs can be a mixed bag but Mulligans is a good attempt. I’ve seen reviews on here saying that this isn’t a “real” Irish pub but the only real Irish pubs are (a) those in Ireland or (b) outside of Ireland but with Irish staff/owners and a large Irish clientele. This isn’t going to be the case in most places in Portugal but Mulligans is a good effort. The décor is nice, the staff are friendly and efficient, there is a good selection of beers and the food is good. I certainly enjoyed my evening here when I visited Leiria.
For me this is the best place to eat an amazing hamburger while you have a good pint (and you can even choose from several beers of different nationalities).
