Passt zur Karli in Leipzig. Leckeres Frühstück bis 1600 Uhr. Freundliche Bedienung.

Die Karte ist zwar immer gleich, bis auf ein paar saisonale warme Gerichte, aber ist jedes Mal wieder sehr schmackhaft. Auch die selbstgemachten Pommes sind der Hit. Beim Service ist je nach Kellnerin von einigermaßen freundlich bis ignorierend alles dabei. Nehme ich in Kauf für den guten Geschmack. Und die Einrichtung ist wirklich Geschmacksache, lässt sich (nicht) drüber streiten.

If you ever find yourself in Leipzig with a sudden craving for the high seas and an English breakfast, Hotel Seebkick is the place to go! Ironically, there’s no view of the sea here—unless you count the picturesque waves of concrete and traffic right outside. But don't let that stop you, because their English breakfast (Hotel Seaview) is a delightful, albeit not-so-authentic, surprise. I give their English breakfast a solid 7 out of 10. The bacon was crisp, the eggs were sunny-side up and cheery as a British morning, and the baked beans were, well, bean-like. The sausage, though tasty, seemed to have wandered in from a bratwurst convention down the street. The toast was perfectly golden. Despite the geographical and culinary quirks, the staff’s friendly service made it feel like a little piece of home, if home were a landlocked city in Germany. So, if you're in Leipzig and want an English breakfast with a splash of German flair and a sea of imagination, set sail for Hotel Seebkick. Just don’t forget your sense of humor and your map, because you won’t be navigating any actual waves here. Guten Appetit and ahoy, matey!
