My recent visit to Café Lux was unfortunately quite a disappointment and I have to admit that this café doesn't live up to the many positive reviews. From a place that is so highly praised, you would expect a certain standard, which unfortunately Café Lux was unable to meet. First of all, the service could definitely be improved. The service seemed disinterested and unmotivated, which was reflected in both the moderate friendliness and the lack of attention. Another point of criticism concerns the cleanliness. Unfortunately, the cups and glasses that were served to us were not clean. In a café, I generally expect that at least basic hygiene standards are adhered to. There was also a small accident, the staff broke a coffee, which damaged the cake I ordered. Mistakes happen, that's understandable. However, I would have expected the staff to react proactively in such a case by either offering a new cake or at least cleaning the plate. Unfortunately, none of these gestures were offered, which further marred the visit. Because of these experiences, I will not visit Café Lux again.
