The staff is warm and laid-back, and the restaurant boasts a classic ambiance, complete with dusty bottles of wine that have stood the test of time. It's truly remarkable that this place remains family-owned and operated, with the chef—still vibrant in her eighties—creating delicious dishes. She moved our pram and pushed the high chair where my son was sitting without saying a word. I was shocked when she scolded my one-year-old for being noisy – absolutely unacceptable behavior regardless of the context. While other tables received a warm welcome, we felt compelled to leave early due to a diaper situation, wanting to avoid any further unpleasantness. As a local dad, I would strongly recommend that families with kids steer clear of this restaurant in Leichhardt. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience the embarrassment we did.
