Pan Roma - Leichhardt
Pan Roma
Description
**Restaurant Review: A Taste of Italy in Leichhardt**
Nestled in Leichhardt, this family-run Italian restaurant has garnered both acclaim and critique over the years. With over 50 years of tradition, diners rave about the melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi, delectable veal saltimbocca, and outstanding seafood pasta, all crafted with passion and expertise. The inviting atmosphere resembles a heartfelt family gathering, complete with warm staff and authentic dishes that capture the essence of Italian cuisine.
However, not all experiences have been flawless, with some patrons reporting unwelcoming interactions, especially towards families. While prices have drawn mixed opinions, the charm and love infused in the cooking keep many returning for more.

The food was good, but our experience was marred by an uncomfortable encounter with a middle-aged staff member who seemed unwelcoming towards families with children, potentially even harboring some bias. She moved our pram and pushed the high chair where my son was sitting without saying a word. I was shocked when she scolded my one-year-old for being noisy – absolutely unacceptable behavior regardless of the context. While other tables received a warm welcome, we felt compelled to leave early due to a diaper situation, wanting to avoid any further unpleasantness. As a local dad, I would strongly recommend that families with kids steer clear of this restaurant in Leichhardt. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience the embarrassment we did.
Pan Roma offers some of the finest fresh, traditional, and flavorful Italian dishes you could imagine. The staff creates a warm and inviting atmosphere with their excellent and friendly service. I will definitely be visiting as often as possible and highly recommend it as an outstanding restaurant overall! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The staff creates a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a warm embrace. Consistently, the dishes exceed expectations; the gnocchi is an absolute must-try, and its melt-in-your-mouth quality is unparalleled. My fiancee raves about the Marinara, labelling it the best she's ever tasted. Oh, and the scallops? A divine experience—a definite order, trust me. This establishment ensures we depart with beaming smiles every single time, a testament to its excellence.
