Was Anonym at Alchi Kitchen a mag?
Started by a few women with a loan from the state's entrepreneurship development institute, it offers good, warm local food. The chhutagi, skyu and the walnut-apricot-saffron drink were all good. View all feedback.

What Abhay Khare dislikes about Alchi Kitchen:
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. The food was undercooked and many of the items listed on the menu were unavailable. The service was subpar. I dined in for lunch and the price per person was between ₹1,600-1,800. The food and service both received a rating of 1, while the atmosphere received a 2. I recommend trying the Veg Momos. Really great place with amazingly fresh food. They make all their food from scratch and it is worth the wait. You can have a nice juice or tea while you wait. The Apricot tea is really tasty. We had Momos, a pasta and a stuffed sandwich made from locally fresh made bread. All of it was simple and tasty.

Had a great experience at this restaurant for the first time. I ordered the Yarkhindi Pulao and stuffed Khambir, both of which were delicious and worth the money. This unique Ladakhi style restaurant with a live kitchen is a must-visit. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. A must-visit cafe when in Leh. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch.

Alchi Kitchen is a great place for Ladakhi food that matches up to the hype it has. The food was delicious, and the location is gorgeous. We visited in July (peak season) and it was very busy at lunchtimewe and had to wait for nearly an hour to get our table. However, they were really sweet about it and asked us to visit the monastery in the meantime (one of Ladakh's oldest monasteries is in Alchi too). We order mutton chuttagi, khambir stuffed with chicken and chocolate mokmok. Each dish was great. It is a little pricey but definitely worth the value. I'll definitely visit again next time I visit Ladakh. Parking: Parking is available only in the main junction in town. During peak season, it can get challenging since hundreds of tourists come down to Alchi each day (for the monastery and the food)
