Reviews - Tha Da Petch Thai Cuisine
Reviews summary
Nestled in the heart of the area, this Thai restaurant offers a mix of experiences that can leave diners divided. While some patrons rave about the authentic flavors and delightful dishes like Beef Pad See Ew and spicy Tom Yum, others express disappointment in service and portion sizes that don't match the prices. Reviews commonly highlight the familial atmosphere and genuine hospitality of the owners. However, inconsistency in closing hours and occasional service missteps have dampened the experience for some. Despite a few critiques, the restaurant shines with its delicious, authentically spicy cuisine, making it a unique gem worth exploring.

The Thai food at this restaurant is amazing! I have visited multiple times and the food is consistently delicious. I usually order the Beef Pad See Ew Medium Spicy and it always comes out great. The restaurant is owned and operated by a Thai family, and the quality of service and food is a blessing for the Fort Polk area. Don't forget to try the Thai Tea - it's amazing too! What Anonym dislikes about Tha Da Petch Thai Cuisine:
New to area, looked online on google, yelp and all said it was open till 9 or 930. Showed up at 826pm and as I was opening the door a kid rushed door to lock it. Another older guy asked if I was picking up or trying to order. I said wanted to order a to go order. He said they were closed. I pointed out his front door sign saying open till 9pm. M-sun and he said the sign and website was wrong. So I just wasted about 4... View all feedback.

The service was fast, and the food was delicious! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Pad Thai Noodles, Chicken Curry
Puff pastry Curry was not a puff pastry. It was wrapped with wanton wrapper. Pad thai was kot good. Definitely the papaya salad was gross. Not worth it for the money we pay. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

This is the absolute best restaurant anywhere near this area hands down. It will be the ONLY restaurant I miss when I leave here. Their Tom Kha soup is to die for (order it Thai hot if you're brave enough) and the Pad Thai and Curry are excellent as well. Customer service is on point whether I eat there or order it to go, service is always fast and friendly.
I was sooo disappointed. I ordered chicken Pad see ew and ended up with beef. When I called they were adamant that it was chicken…. If this is chicken I have more concerns. I also ordered sweet sticky rice and asked for no mango. I was served plain non sweet sticky rice. I was so hopeful for a place with so many stars. This just was not it. The Thai tea was the best part of my meal.
Great food made to order by a wonderful family. Something for everyone. They can make many of the dishes vegan and at the spice level you request. We have been eating here for years.
This place was awesome! Me and my wife just had take out, I had the spicy beef kung pao and she had the chicken curry. Everything was great!

I ordered the #4 Chicken Sa Tay (see pictures 1 and 2; the peanut butter sauce is very flavorful) and the #35 Gaeng Daeng (with pork as the meat selection; check out photos 5 and 6). My friends chose the #1 Curry Puff (no photo), #20 Pad Priaw Waan (photos 3 and 4), Spring Rolls (no photo), and #60 Pad Ke Mao (with tofu). We shared all the appetizers, and everything tasted great. Each of the main dishes was delicious and fulfilling, with a balanced level of heat that enhanced the flavors of the meat and vegetables. I highly recommend stopping by this place next time you're indecisive or looking for something different from your usual fast food!
Mr. Sam and his family, absolutely love and take care of their community. You can talk to them in just 5min. The food they cook here from their culture is absolutely AMAZING. Sometime cheating. I'm so grateful they're here in Leesville Louisiana. I would give more stars to their food and service if I could.
The #8 Larb is my absolute go to from here, and an order or two of sticky rice. I haven't ventured out to try many others but those around me have and there have been no complaints.
This is, without a doubt, the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. If you request something spicy, you can expect it to be genuinely spicy, not the toned-down version that many American Thai restaurants serve. The owner was incredibly friendly and shared wonderful stories about the good old days. Make sure to ask him about the special paprika!
Great Thai food! I was here a good amount of time, and the food is consistently delicious! I almost always get the Beef Pad Lake Ew, Medium Spicy, and it comes out every time. The restaurant is owned by a Thai family. The quality of service and delicious food are really a blessing for the Fort Polk area. Do not forget to add Thai tea to your order, it is also amazing!

I've been looking for a thai place that makes pad sew ewe a rival of the best I had in chicago. that could be him. I found myself after eating.
That was a surprise! if they are in leesville it is a must! the smell as soon as you get in is amazing. the staff was very friendly.
This place is extremely overpriced for the recorded portion size. eating was ok, but to put the price and small portions. what I consisted of sweet and very little meat. I won't make the mistake to pay $20 for veggies again. this is a family business and the family has eaten while I was, they go to the kitchen to feed each other while I was there. I think that's extremely unprofessional. Maybe that's the norm in Thai, but that's not Thai.
Eating is decent. one of the only Thai options in leesville. in the interior is split, it would not recommend. nice to get out.
We just had dinner here for the first time and it was amazing!!! I have found my new favorite restaurant in Leesville. The food and service were outstanding! : I'm so glad I tried this place.
