I had to wait for friends to arrive for about 45 minutes! I thought I was going, but I stayed, made by the free Wi-Fi and the huge series of caught beer, the time has passed very quickly. more comfortable place to sit and wait and smell the fine aromas of excellent eating. very recommended to wait here! I can't believe it's shutting for a refurb, will lose its charm!! Cracking rhubarb gin and ginger ale recommend by the bar man!! Top choice, I had to have 2 and so did the Mrs. View all feedback.
Decent ale and wine bar that also caters for parties, popular at lunchtimes and after work, the ambience has a French café feel. Table service is available and efficient enough, and the food is tasty and well presented. There is also a good selection of guest ales on offer. Recommended for pre event drinks or as a starter location before moving on into town.
Amazing selection of gins and the staff were really knowledgeable about them. We held a meeting in the little back room and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and lovely food too.
Was out for the day with some friends as having travelled from Manchester. I have been in this pub on two previous occasions over the last few years. Was served by a very friendly young woman. My friends and I all had the same beer. Two pints were cloudy. No problems as a new barrel was put on and then two fresh pints were delivered to our table by the barmaid. Excellent service.
Such a lovely place.. great service with a smile and my fish butty was lush!
Went for a group lunch meal. We provided our orders in advance and food was ready promptly. I had the fish and chips, which was excellent very generous portions! Good selection of beers at the bar. Nice atmosphere. Easy to see why this place is popular. Recommended.
