Contribute FeedbackThe Clothiers Arms in Yeadon presents a mixed yet generally favorable dining experience. Patrons consistently praise the friendly, efficient staff and the quick service, bringing hot and tasty meals to the table in record time. While menu favorites like the chicken basket and fish and chips impress, some dishes have faced criticism for lacking consistency, particularly the Mangalorian Cauliflower Spinach curry, which has faltered in its core ingredients. Despite minor grievances regarding decor and dog policies, guests appreciate the value-for-money offerings, making it a dependable choice for casual dining and family outings.
Really friendly and efficient staff and eating and drinking was ordered and delivered within the record time. I ordered about 17.10 clock and my food came at 5.12 clock, I couldn't believe it! this has not influenced the quality or temperature of the meal, everything was hot and tasty! I had the chicken stripe basket and chips will now call more often as it is local and I was not in years.
I had a terrible experience with the staff at this restaurant. I called the police to report a hate crime. I am autistic and gluten intolerant, and when I asked for allergen information, I was told they couldn't provide it. I asked which item on the breakfast menu contained gluten, but they refused to tell me. Despite trying to communicate my needs and showing my lanyard, I was treated poorly and spoken to in a disrespectful manner. Other customers even shouted at me because the manager claimed my behavior was not acceptable. I ended up having a meltdown and was kicked out and banned from the restaurant. The police have been notified about this incident. It's unacceptable that the staff didn't take proper measures to accommodate my disability and handle the situation better.
I really enjoy the Mangalorian Cauliflower Spinach curry at this restaurant, but the last two times I have ordered it, there was barely any spinach and instead it was mostly diced potatoes. This is not what I expected and it seems like there is a lack of attention to detail with the dish. On a positive note, the service was good as there is a friendly and efficient waiter who is always there.
After watching the fantastic show "Magic of the Musicals" at Yeadon Town Hall, we headed to The Clothiers Arms for dinner and drinks. We sat at a table for four and decided on a large mixed grill for me and steak and kidney pie for my daughter. I had a San Miguel while my daughter had a glass of red wine. The mixed grill was amazing with a variety of meats, I couldn't even see the plate underneath it all. I couldn't finish it all, but it was delicious. Kudos to the chef for a job well done.
We eat here roughly once a month, the food varies, sometimes it’s good but our latest visit wasn’t that great. There’s always new staff, the place is depressing with poor lighting, some bulbs out. There are nicer places to eat, The Clothiers is convenient but I think it’s time we ventured further afield.
