The Boat - Leeds
The Boat
Description
Nestled along the serene River Aire, the Boat Inn offers a delightful beer garden and a promising pub experience. Diners rave about the homemade pizzas, tasty chicken strips, and delectable desserts, drawing families and groups alike. However, not all visits are met with the same enthusiasm. Some patrons report rude service and lackluster ambiance, overshadowing the restaurant's potential. While the welcoming bar staff rescue some experiences, cleanliness and attentiveness remain areas ripe for improvement. Overall, the Boat Inn is a place with promise—perfect for sunny days—if the service and atmosphere can catch up to the quality of its food.

Went yesterday for 60th birthday party, everyone ordered different food from varied menu which arrived in reasonable time, all home cooked food, all of which was enjoyed. my cottage pie was delicious and large. Would recommend
We visited the boat after viewing the menu on the website but when found the one in the pub was completely smaller and the choices very limited. The website gave the menu a good selection to no avail date visited 29 July 6pm Terry
We decided to visit here for something to eat for lunch. We arrived and the atmosphere wasn't friendly. We got looked up and down as we entered. We asked if they were doing food and they pointed at menus on a table. We sat in the room to the left which was dark and looked old.We ordered at the bar and they gave us a wooden spoon with a number on it. The food came and the girl dumped it on the table. Didn't ask if needed anything else. I had to go look for condiments. No one came to see if the food was OK. Poor customer service grotty eating area. Felt uncomfortable will not go back again.
Fantastic beef stew and Yorkshire pudding. Well cooked. Attentive staff staff and service. Will definatly come again.
Not sure what has happened...usually a good pub serving food...the whole place was dirty, plenty of staff just stood about, tables needed clearing. They can only cook one pizza at a time (although broken so no pizzas at all). Toilets filthy with no toilet rolls. Wish we’d have stayed at The Victoria.
