Tapped Brew Co
3.9 / 5 (8192 reviews)

Description

Nestled on Boar Lane, Tapped Brewery offers an impressive array of craft beers in a vibrant, modern setting. While the extensive selection and tasty pizzas are highlights, guests have voiced frustrations regarding rising prices and inconsistent service. The atmosphere is inviting, with friendly staff who can provide knowledgeable recommendations, making it a great stop for a quality brew. However, some patrons have had negative experiences, including unwelcome treatment and abrupt service. Ideal for craft beer enthusiasts, Tapped Brewery's lively vibe may appeal to many, but it’s prudent to manage expectations on busy nights.

The prices for drinks at this restaurant have increased by 50%. I ordered a vodka lime and lemonade in November for £4.50, but the same drink in December 2023 was priced at £6.50. This seems like a ridiculous markup - £4 for a shot of vodka, £2.50 for a splash of lime, and a sliver of lemonade. This is unacceptable. I would recommend avoiding this establishment, as they are clearly trying to rip off unsuspecting customers.

After being a regular customer with friends family for several years I have paid my final visit. I was refused entry on Saturday evening with my 3 friends (all respectable people in their 60's). My crime I had been to a football match. I was asked to undo my jacket by the doorman because I was displaying a football related logo the size of 5 pence I was made to feel like a criminal. None of us had been drinking or were behaving in a loud manner but I was treated by the doorman in such an unpleasant manner which was extremely embarrassing upsetting. We went over the road to The Brewers Tap , a welcoming bar who accepted our custom without issue. I'm not sure if the manager or the brewery are aware or even care about how their customers are treated but they have lost all our custom. No more mid week drinks pizzas for me when the pub is having a quiet night as it was made perfectly clear that I am not welcome here. A very disappointed saddened ex customer.

I have visited this restaurant twice in the past month while waiting for my train. I enjoyed a good quality ale and pizza on both occasions. I tried the chicken tikka and keema pizzas, both of which were unique and delicious. While it may not be the cheapest option, the quality of the food and service justifies the price. The restaurant has a clean and airy atmosphere, with excellent service. If you are looking for a cheap meal, there are other options nearby, but for a higher quality dining experience, this restaurant is a great choice.

Pooped in for a drink whilst waiting for the train after a comedy club night elsewhere. There were 4 of us, we all chose different drink and as you do had a taste of each other’s and they were all 5 star, will definitely be coming in again and trying more of the drinks menu !
