The four of us called in here after a walk on New Year’s Eve afternoon. We intended only a drink or two, but the food looked inviting so we decided to eat. Despite being busy, (and we were warned of a wait and provided with a pack of cards to pass the time), four wholesome meals arrived promptly and were thoroughly enjoyed. We’d happily recommend it. Service very good. Meat pie lacked decent filling. Several local beers but all very similar. Friendly place so worth a visit. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
Eat here tonight, staff were very helpful and accommodating, we had a starter and main course, both were very well presented and piping hot, would recommend you give it a try. We had our dog with us and we’re able to eat inside in the back room which was ideal as the weather was not as nice for eating outside. Good menu selection and plenty of veggie options available.
Extensive menu and plenty of veggie and gluten free, good selection of beers all with great service. Only been at lunch time, but if the menu is anything to go by it should be just as good..
Had a very nice chicken and chorizo pie with hand cut chips. Nice atmosphere and reasonable price for quality. Bar staff were nice too
Lovely little pub, popped in for a drink and some food but unfortunately after ordering the drink the food we wanted was sold out so we left without eating.
A real pub! Food was great, as was the service. We had the steak pie and cottage pie, both of which were delicious. Pub was very dog friendly dog treats were available and the bar staff brought a bowl of water for the dogs. We sat in the tap room and during our visit, many dog walkers, hikers and cyclists came in and out. Everyone was very friendly. Would definitely come again. Highly recommended.
