Description

Fibber McGees, located in the heart of Leederville, may not live up to the hype of having the 'best dry aged steak in Australia', according to some customers. While some found their sirloin steak to be tough and lacking flavor, others enjoyed the lamb shank and fish of the day. The service was generally good, although there were mixed reviews about the staff's friendliness. Despite some setbacks, the cozy Irish atmosphere, generous portion sizes, and free sides make Fibber McGees a worthwhile dining experience. The restaurant is known for its ribs, which are described as divine by one reviewer. Overall, Fibber McGees is a charming spot with potential for a memorable meal, whether you opt for the famous steak or try other menu items like the ribs or beef ribs.

As a former British native, born English, I sometimes look for a wonderful Sunday roast. I can cook beautiful roasted house, but sometimes I want to be the hospitable and have cooked it for me. last year we tried our local pub, but the carvery was dirty, precooked, pre-cut meat in metal containers – everything was overcooked and tasteless.

Fibber Mcgees offers Perth’s best Sunday roast out of the home. I had the lamb and it was tender and very flavoursome. All of the vegetables were cooked perfectly (not over cooked) and love that Yorkshire puddings are included. The portion sizes (particularly the meat serving size) have once again become more generous which is an added bonus. The service was friendly and now I want to eat the roast again for dinner. The sticky date toffee pudding was not as good as it was previously (more dense and less flavor), but this certainly didn’t take away even in the slightest from our very enjoyable lunch experience. Thank you!
