I just had a Big Breakfast at the Oxford Street Dome cafe in Leederville. It was a big mistake and I still feel queasy. The meal consisted of eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, a hash brown, cooked tomato and toast. I love this naughty but tasty breakfast and I have it at least once a month at different cafes The sausages were old and of poor quality reheated I suspect. The tomato was seared on the cut face but still cold and uncooked in the center. The toast was of a poor quality white bread and was not properly browned. A friend and I dined here yesterday and I am surprised to see that it has such a low percentage on Urbanspoon. Whenever I've driven past, it's always busy and yesterday was no exception at lunchtime. I have to admit, I'm not a massive fan of Dome overall. When given the opportunity to dine at a coffee place, I'd much rather a non chain restaurant but Leederville doesn't really cater for prams so Dome it was. The menu selection is quite broad ranging from wraps to burger to larger meals like curries with a selection of desserts on offer in the window. My mate settled on the breakfast wrap and I chose the vegetarian one with a pot of English breakfast tea...read more
