What Britney Buckridge doesn't like about Swiss Chalet:
We visited 6 months ago and then again 4 days ago. We had the same problems both times. The restaurant was almost empty at 5:30 in the afternoon but they sat us at a dirty table with a sticky dirty bench seat. When we asked for a cloth to wipe up the sticky stuff they came back with a dry cloth. Good luck cleaning up sticky stuff with a dry cloth. One of us got up to the bathroom to get the cloth wet. 4 of us went here for dinner on Sunday. It was not to busy inside so server came soon and brought drinks and was back shortly to take our order. Meal came in usual amount of time, maybe a little sooner. The food was good, especially the ribs that the other 3 ordered, lots of food in the chicken rib combos and rib wings combos. My penne was alright, maybe a little bland, could have used some salt. I could add that.It was very tasty with the onions and peppers in it though. All in all, good meal, we would go back again.

Had half back rib with honey sauce was good and fell off the bone. Ordered loaded potato for Cad$1 upcharge will eat for lunch tomorrow. It was not that good - huge potato but hardly any cheese or other filling.Visited again in December as a couple. I had the roast beef and fries with horseradish. The horseradish was super, The beef could have used salt and pepper but it was still good. My partner had the quarter chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and he loved it and demolished it all! Pepsi products so I was happy!

Last weekend we had takeout from this location. To my surprise, my bite of salad had something solid in it. It was the top off a pen. Called the reservation number and was on hold for a long time. Finally gave up and posted my concern on the fb page. Got an email saying it was being passed on to the local store. Then got an email from the local store asking me to call them in two days. They offered me another salad. Crazy. You can rest assured that they will never see me again.
