We found restaurante Garvi in the middle of the week, on a tuesday night, and though we were the only customers, we had a great time and an excellent meal. the waiter was very friendly and helpfull, the grandmother in the kitchen made us a good meal : the black pudding is the best we had in the region (and in europe), the baby goat was delicious and the beef was very tender and full of taste. Highly recommendable for a night out with friends of family.
We arrived at 1430 on a Saturday without having reserved, were shown to a table and served promptly. By 1500 or soon after almost every table was occupied it is clearly popular with locals. There was a good range of choice on the menu: we shared asparagus with Serrano ham as a starter, then I had veal and my wife calamari (both with chips) and finally shared tiramisu. Add a beer and sparkling water and the bill came to €42 which we thought very reasonable. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. We’d gladly return if opportunity offers.
