Rye - Leawood
Rye
Description
The Saltwater Grill in Galveston offers a mix of classic favorites and new dishes, with the grilled redfish standing out as a perfectly cooked option. While the lack of bread was disappointing, the atmosphere can get a bit noisy. Prices at this restaurant seem to be on the steep side for lunch, making dinner a pricey option. However, the variety of menu items make it a nice change from repeat restaurants. The service may have been a bit off, with some inconsistencies in pricing and server behavior. Overall, Rye is a great spot for a fancy night out with delicious food, while also offering a charming patio for a relaxing meal. The establishment is known for its Monday steak night, making it a go-to place for upscale dining in Leawood. Their brunch options also receive high praise, with perfectly cooked dishes and a nice variety to choose from.

The food was so delicious that I forgot to take some pictures of the plate! Everything was delicious. Shrimps, dumpling, burger and the pie were amazing. You cannot leave without having one of those pies. The cocktail was great. The selection of wine hasvariety, and match well the menu. I highly recommend this place!
Everything they served was delicious! The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. We started with an appetizer of sliced meats with homemade pickles and whole grain mustard. We had a wedge salad topped with bacon, egg, blue cheese tomatoes andhomemade buttermilk dressing, this salad was absolutely delicious. My wife had the squash soup which had a sweet flavor whichshe loved but was just ok to me. The 35oz tomahawk ribeye steak was amazing, cooked medium rare and full of flavor! The sidedish was carrots that had smoked honey, harissa spice, and toasted almonds. We both agreed it was just ok. The spice tastedlike a chili powder and paprika mixture and I couldn't really notice the smoked honey. Overall, it was a great meal andexperience and would highly recommend this place and will be back to try something else like the fried chicken.
Overall the food was good, but I feel like it was pricey when I could get equally good biscuits and gravy at a much less expensive restaurant. Meanwhile, the service could be improved. Our waitress did not come to get our orders until we had alreadybeen sitting for nearly half an hour. When I asked for half of my meal to be boxed, it came back to me with all the food jammedinto a small container with the biscuits stacked on top of the salad, resulting in soggy, salad dressing-flavored biscuits. Iknow they had bigger containers because another guest at my table got their leftovers in a larger container several minutesafter me.
Had brunch today — Brisket Hash was fabulous. The next table over had French Toast with fried chicken and that is what I’m having the next time. Also the screwdriver was make with freshly squeezed orange ???? juice. Nicely done!
Met a friend for a Saturday morning brunch. It was pretty quiet inside, but lively outside with a great atmosphere. We made reservations but not needed within an hour or two of them opening on Saturday. I ordered the huevos rancheros and it wasincredible! Just the right amount of food and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend visiting here.
