Joe's Kansas City -b-que - Leawood

The food was excellent, maintaining the same quality as the gas station location. We had a large group of nine, and we were seated without any issues. Our food was prepared and served promptly.

I was craving some BBQ, so I decided to visit Joe's for my all-time favorite BBQ sandwich. I arrived at 6 PM, and as expected, there was a line out the door. However, the wait moved quickly since they operate like a well-oiled machine. It’s always good to manage your expectations when you see a line like that, even at a place like Joe's, which usually handles crowds exceptionally well. This visit was particularly delicious; the burnt ends seemed to have absorbed more smoke than usual, elevating the BBQ from really great to truly spectacular. Keep up the great work, Joe's!

Everything on the menu is delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. Even the regular-sized meals, not the jumbo ones, are quite large.

Perhaps not the same experience as the original, but good food and fast service. No line!

The wait in the line was a bit annoying. One good thing is the menu is posted everywhere to include the QR code to familiarize yourself with the menu. Price was better than expected but that was without alcohol. We got the two specials for the day. Sausage was good, ribs were better and to top it off the pulled pork was my favorite. I opted for the spicy coleslaw and potato salad with an extra side of the baked beans. So good. Decided to have the banana pudding. Honest. Well worth the wait.
