Description

Nestled in Le Morne, this restaurant is a hidden gem for food lovers, particularly vegans seeking delicious options. Diners rave about the fried tofu dish, characterized by large cubes simmered in a rich, slightly spicy chili sauce, accompanied by rice. The chickpea curry is also well-received, though some might find it mild. Samosas and papaya salad offer delightful starters, but the portions can be modest. While prices are a touch higher than average, they remain reasonable. The friendly staff enhances the experience, making this a must-visit spot. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity, so plan ahead.

We ordered the chickpea curry, fried tofu, and a papaya salad as a starter. Everything was delicious, but the curry was a bit mild for our taste. The papaya salad was very spicy, about a 7-8 out of 10.

The restaurant provides great, friendly service that thoroughly explains all of the available vegan options. The food is fresh. I tried the papaya salad and the fried tofu in black pepper sauce.

We had several vegan options to choose from and made sure to confirm with the waitress that they were indeed vegan. We decided on the fried tofu and the chickpea curry, both served with rice. The portions were generous and the food was delicious, particularly the tofu. The prices were reasonable, as we paid around EUR 25 for two dishes and drinks. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Fantastic taste of food, but only little vegan options are available. It seems like it's the only restaurant in Le Morne with vegan options at all. We had a salad to share as a starter, a chickpea curry and the Tofu-dish. Everything tasted wonderful. The prices are higher then what we're used to in Mauritius, but still okay (about 2700 MUR for 3 plates with in total 4 sides, 1 bottle of water and 2 mojito). Reservations are highly recommended, we were lucky to get a table without a reservation As it's always windy here in Le Morne be sure to bring yourself a jacket or something like that.

There were vegan options available, so we checked with the waitress to confirm if they were truly vegan. We decided to order the roasted tofu and the chickpea curry, both served with rice. The portion sizes were quite generous. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the tofu. The prices were reasonable, as we paid around EUR 25 for two dishes and drinks. We would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
