We were looking for another place after a late night lunch/dinner before going back to the hotel and this was one of the few places open (was like 10pm on Saturday). We didn't eat a lot because we weren't hungry but ordered some bruschette (very nice), had some wine, drinks and even coffee and had a great night. I don't sleep early so for us was great to find a place that opens until late in the island. The owner and... View all feedback.

Nice rooftop bar. Looked empty most nights. We only had a drink during happy hour. Very limey and salty Margaritas but sadly no alcohol or at very best, very lttle. At least it refreshed us! View all feedback.
We considered Cervezas to escape the heat and stayed through a thunderstorm! Excellent snacks and drinks. Wonderful, charming service. Had a wonderful afternoon!
We ate in El Encuentro for lunch 3 times while in Holbox. (We wanted to eat there, but they would not welcome our little puppies as any other place in Holbox). We had delicious guacamole with freshly made fried tortillas. Every time we had either fish or Steak Tacos or Fajitas. The restaurant is located on the main square of Main Street above. It's not an elegant dining place... but the food makes itself for the basic, beach town, rustic interior. Lunch was about $35 USD for 2.
We were there for dinner and the food and service we have were perfect and simply delicious. I can't understand why people talk badly about eating, as we got amazing tacos. Of course, if you are on Isla Holbox, you need your standards or Lower toilets, but we were there too and they were clean and okay for such a place in Holbox! Since I have nothing to say, I will rate this restaurant with 5 points. Would the tacos recommend to see the picture every time. We paid for the food and drinks around 30USD.
Good food but quite pricey compared to equally good food elsewhere in town. Service was mediocre at best, and 10% service charge is added automatically on the bill.
We found that restaurant by accident and thought we give it a try without checking TripAdvisor. You shouldn‘t : the burrito was like a crepes and tasteless (drowned in tomato sauce . The service was really slow but as you are on holidays I think this isn’t a problem ; they were all friendly too. I wouldn’t go there again as the food is proxy for what you get. The happy hour though is worth a try.
