Their new location next to McDonald's is so amazing! Super friendly staff, beautiful decore, menudo and the cucumber agua fresca with lemon and chia seeds was hands down the best I have had! No more driving to West Valley or someones home for a good Menudo! This one is even better! View all feedback.
This place is the real deal. EVERYTHING was made from scratch and made to order. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere/setup was darling. I don’t say this lightly but maybe the best Mexican food I’ve had since living in Mexico. I tried the chipotle chicken and the sauce was amazing. Can’t wait to come back.Oh yeah… the address has changed and they are now down the street by Vasa (behind McDonald’s)
If you want authentic food with deep family roots, this is the place. The friendly staff served up classic Mexican food that I've been craving for a while. I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu.
Oh my GOSH! I came across a Mexican restaurant in Layton called THE SPANGLISH. The food was incredible. I’m a Latina who felt like I was eating in my mom’s kitchen. I judge each Mexican restaurant by the individual taste of each item. Every bite was better than the previous one. As I continued with my meal, I was surprised at how genuine each item tasted. We were happy to wait a little for our food knowing it was being prepared FRESH. The place was uber clean and decorated true to form that it took me back to my own home with sights and smells of my childhood. I hate to post this review because now all you people that read this will want to try it and it has become MY favorite Mexican restaurant!
The new location opened this week. I called to place a carry out order and was not aware of the new location. I went to the old place and was instructed to go over to the new location to pick up my food. The employee at the old location said that they would only be serving snack items. I went to the new location and before leaving the register I checked to make sure the elotes ' were in the bag they weren 't. The employee told me that they don 't make the elote at the new location, and they are going to be part of the snack menu at the old location. She wasn 't able to make the elote for me because the ingredients (mayo, cheese, chili seasoning, lime) were over at the old location even though they had the corn on the cobs at the new place. She mentioned they have to take the corn over to the old place for them to make the elote. When I asked further questions about it, the employee said, I don 't know, I just work here. It does not make sense to me that the elote can not be made in house at the old place. If you dine in at the new place, and want elote, then you would have to make a separate trip to the old location. isn 't elote a common appetizer?? Also, the chile verde burrito had pineapple in it not sure how the pineapple was put into the burrito. Overall the food is great, however I feel they may loose some business due to the issue of having to travel between two separate locations to get the food items of preference.
Fantastic Mexican food I would greatly recommend their elotes and quesobirria tacos (only available weekends)
