The Base Restaraunt - Layton

Prompt friendly service and they make the best Cobb salad. Their cheeseburgers and pizzas are really good too.

The food was so-so. Caesar salad had too much dressing and the Greek pizza was overwhelmed with toppings. There was a staff member or guest (Nick) that was overheard throughout entire meal making rude comments. Surprised management allowed this person to stay as long as he did in the establishment. Had to go to sushi place down the road for our son to eat.

Always friendly servers and great food! it's our favorite place!

While traveling to Layton for a sporting event for our son we searched Yelp to find a restaurant that would satisfy the whole family. At first we gravitated to Red Robin to put our name in the list, after being notified of a 45 minute wait we searched Yelp again. We decided to give The Base a try. We were greeted with a smile and a much shorter wait. Once seated our server greeted us (I believe his name was Chris). He was very helpful, making suggestions of various menu items. The Base offers a great selection of adult beverages, including a fully stocked bar and a great local beer selection. We all opted for pizza and we were 100% satisfied. Additionally, we ordered side salads. They were served with crips, fresh vegetables and were generously sized, not to mention reasonably priced. The Base checked all of our boxes for the evening. My family and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The waiter was slow and acted like he couldn't be bothered, lasagna was made with taco meat and the churro fries are french fries covered in cinnamon sugar and carmel, they were out of chicken. very dissapointed
