What Michael B likes about Smakosz Restaurant:
Authentic hearty fare with some surprisingly nuanced tastes. I always loved to eat here throughout the winter for the big portions that stick to your ribs but I'm finding several dishes that are lighter and great year round. Some are even better the next day at lunch! View all feedback. What Margaret Beck doesn't like about Smakosz Restaurant:
Stopped in on Father’s Day looking for lunch for 7, hostess greeted us very rudely. Only 2 tables had people and she said the large table is reserved for 8 at 3:00 pm, it was 2:10 pm and offered us a table for 6…and I said we have 7. Didn’t offer us 2 booths or to pull up an additional chair to the table. We walked out, she was just plain rude! View all feedback.

Some have found the food to be authentic and delicious, with favorites such as the pierogies and potato pancakes. Others were disappointed by the lack of flavor in certain dishes and slow service. Despite this, many customers appreciated the cozy atmosphere and friendly waitstaff. Overall, Smakosz seems to offer a taste of authentic Polish cuisine, with hearty dishes that some find to be a true gem in the city.
