Nickels Restaurant - Laval

Ci siamo fermati per bere qualcosa, il locale è semplice, con molti parcheggi davanti complice anche il centro commerciale a cui è annesso.Birra buona, gustoso e cremoso il frappé alla fragola, servizio veloce.

Le décor est un peu vieillot, mais tout est très propre. Les prix sont assez bas entre 10$ et 15$ par assiette et ce sont des bonnes portions. La nourriture est ok, mais sans plus, sauf les frites qui étaient très bonnes. La présentation des plats laissent vraiment à désirer, pourrait facilement s'améliorer sur ce point. Le service était correct, rapide et poli, mais encore là pas trop de sourire rien d'extraordinaire. Nous avons pris une entrée, deux plats principaux et un dessert pour 40$ plus service. C'est abordable.

Had a solid breakfast here that met expectations. Nothing fancy, but good food, service and more than reasonable prices.

Every time I travel to Canada I always head to Nickels Restaurant for their smoked meat sandwiches. They are great, and this one did not disappoint me in that regard, except that the accompanying cole slaw was very dry, and not up to the usual standards of this chain restaurant. My wife ordered a pizza which came out somewhat burned, and not very tasty. My daughter ordered the chicken souvlaki plate which was good, although when she asked for salad, the waiter did not ever bring it. I would be willing to try this particular Nickels Restaurant again, but with some trepredation. I suggest you try one of the Nickels in downtown Montreal. We tried this restaurant again for breakfast and it was not any better. I ordered the crepes on which I could bounce a fork. In other words, they were not good.

After stressing to the waiter I wanted a very lean smoke meat sandwich, which I normally love to eat, however when I opened the sandwich to add mustard, I was disgusted to the point of vomiting, when I saw the amount of fat and large arteries which were in it. I couldn't believe my eyes. I am totally turned off smoke meat and will never eat there again.When I complained and did not eat the sandwich or anything else because I was disgusted, they did nothing and charged for it anyways. Unacceptable for a restaurant who should be trying to please their customers. I am so angry at this and must warn people not to eat that garbage.
