Nickels Restaurant - Laval

I called this Nickel's restaurant to ask until what time they serve breakfast on a weekday and they told me 11:30.

As a bartender at another nearby restaurant, my regulars would often speak in passing about their time spent at this other bar, so naturally I had to stop

Had a solid breakfast here that met expectations. Nothing fancy, but good food, service and more than reasonable prices.

Every time I travel to Canada I always head to Nickels Restaurant for their smoked meat sandwiches. They are great, and this one did not disappoint me in that regard, except that the accompanying cole slaw was very dry, and not up to the usual standards of this chain restaurant. My wife ordered a pizza which came out somewhat burned, and not very tasty. My daughter ordered the chicken souvlaki plate which was good, although when she asked for salad, the waiter did not ever bring it. I would be willing to try this particular Nickels Restaurant again, but with some trepredation. I suggest you try one of the Nickels in downtown Montreal. We tried this restaurant again for breakfast and it was not any better. I ordered the crepes on which I could bounce a fork. In other words, they were not good.
