Cafe Univers - Laval

I think the title says it all. Bunch of thieves. Don't waste your money or time. The crowd is kiddies and they can't even do tea right.

This is one of the finest reatuarants in the Montreal and Laval area...The food is great and prepared in a very unique and diferent way than other late evening cafe type restos,,,The drinks are also unique..try one of their famous martinis...atmosphere is great, has become one of my favorite all time restaurant.

Always happening! Great food and music! The terrace is beautiful! The only thing is, the music is too loud!

We were hesitant to enter this place because it looked closed. The place was completely empty when we walked in, but we were greeted by such a friendly guy, who was also our server; his name was Matthew. He was helpful translating the menu for us and was very polite, made great eye contact, and always had a smile on his face. We ended up having to wait a while for our food (3 NY Strips), but when they finally came, it was one of the best steaks we've ever had! We all said it was worth the wait and are considering eating there again tomorrow night. The steaks came with mushrooms, green beans, French firies, some kind of gravy, and they were topped with onion strings. Soooooo good! The music was a little loud, but the food and our server made it tolerable. Very glad we decided to walk into this place.

This place has been around forever, but turned to garbage over the years.
